GiSBOBNB, This day. An exceptionally painful case of temporary insanity oocurred late yesterday afternoon. About four months ago a young S-torthfc two-year.old child, who died of diphtheria. He was at the time himself Buffering from rheumatic fever, and the death of bis. child must have preyed upon his mind. Yesterday afternoon he proceeded to the cemetsry and there, despite the protestsof thesexton, who is a onpple, an d °° u l d not prevent him, exhumed the body of the child He smashed the coffin to atoms, ana outofftheohild'shead.wrappingitinapieoe of brown paper and carrying it some dis-tance-about three miles. The sexton at once informed the police what had oocurred, and on their proceeding to the mm a residence, they found him queer in his manner, and arrested him. THIb morning search was made, and the skull was found in a garden a few yards to the rear of the man's rtstIt was returned to the cemetery, —*^sTre-interred. The unfortunate man was charged at Court with lunacy, and remanded for medical examination.
