Pabis, July 18. -The Chamber of Deputies have unanimonsly carried a resolution that the Government etould take the necessary measures to make the rights of France respected in 6iam ' July 19. Id the Chamber of Deputios M. Develle, Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated that ' Loid Roseberv, the English Foreign Secretary, has disclaimed that there wore any British interests in Mekong. M. Deyelle said that he mentioned it.as Great Britain had been assured that Bangkok would not be bombarded without notice. A n explacation had been asked for the meaning of the despatoh of English gunlmats to Siamese waters. The roply elicited a disclaimer of any intention of intervening in tbe matter beyond protecting British subjects. France, M. ' *'" Tte schooner Guiding Star collided off Red Head, near Wowcastle, with the steamer Elirgamite. . The schooner was cut in halves. Bor cook, named Matheson, was drowned, but the other members of the crew woto tul'cn on board the stoamor.
