Rome, April 21. The Pope received the Emporor of Germany with great grandeur aud ceremony, and the audience extended over 45 minutes.
the Kaiser in retiring offered to kiss the Pope's hand The latter deprecated the proffered courtesy, and the Emperor pressed the hand three times instead.
A bomb exploded in tho Capitol at Rome, smashing windows and damaging a number of columns.
