Messrs Williams and Kettle (limited) report as follows: — At Stortford Lodge yards yesterday we submitted and sold 1100 sheep, 81 head of cattle, and a few horses. There was a large entry of sheep, about 7000 being yarded. Sheep sold freely and at fair values and the result of this sale goes to prove that both buyers and sellers are beginning- to appreciate the benefit of stock auction .die*. The H.B. Earmold' Co-operative Ataociation (limited) report as follows : — We held our monthly stock sale at btortford Lodge, Hustings, yesterday ihe attendance of buyers was much larger than usual, and biddiug was fairly active, paces showing a good all-round improvement with the exception of tho=e realised tor tat wethers, which were quoted below values, they only reaching lis. _ Our catalogue contained 40J0 sheep, wbicn were all disposed of Fat crossbred ewes brought 9s Od ; good four-year-old fcorouey oross ewca in famb fetched v? to 9s 3d, while a number of 4 and 6-tooth crossbred ewes were sold at 7s 9d. Meiiuo wethers iv good condition realised 6a Id to G- 3d. Our noxt salo will take place about the middle of May, particulars of which vill be advertieed-
