IMPORTANT JUDGMENT. Cheibtchotch, This day. An important judgment was delivered by Mr Justice Denniston yesterday in reference to the liability of tramway companies. Mr Morris, commercial traveller, sued the Canterbury Tramway Company in Court for damages alleged to have been caused by the tram lines being abovo the level of the road. The Magistrate nonsuited plaintiff who His Honor, in giving judgment, dealt with the facts at some length and dismissed the appeal. '
