TOWN EDITION.

Eight rinks are now expected from Welington for the bowling tournament, and :hree from Palmerston.

We draw our readers' attention to a special advertisement of th 6 New Zealand Shipping Co.'s s.s. Tongariro. It was originally intended to have despatched this steamer via an Australian port, but the demand for berths has been so great by New Zealanders anxious to arrive in time for the London season that in addition to the Ruahine, which leaves Lyttelton on 16th April, the Company has also decided to start the Tongariro on same date from Wellington. She has magnificent accommodation for all classes, and some fine two-berth cabins in tbo first aaloon, for which early application should be made.
