Oh ! the wretohed wet weather we Bare had just as the wheelmen had awakened to the fact that the next race meeting was coming off on the 9th April, and they must do some training on the track. Since last Wednesday nothing has been done there, and the roads have only been a sea of mud. However, nowtherain seems to havefinishod, there may be a chance of a fortnight of good hard work. The pneumatice will make a difference to the racing this time, and in. view of these maohines competing the committee have arranged the following penalt ice, which should be fair, and are modelled on the Alliance basis:— ONB MILE PENALTIES. As there will be some capital prizes to be oompeted for in addition to the Ten-mile Challenge. Cup and Mr McVay'a gold medal, there should be some good entries. Messrs Adams and Curtis, cycle manufacturers, of Christchurch, hearing- there was so much interest taken in cycling in Napier, have offered the Club a go)d medal for any race they like to allot it. The committee have decided to give it as a first prize in the road race from Waipawa to Napier on Good Friday, loth April. A silver medal given by Mr F. W. Collins will be the second prize. The entries close for thia race on April Ist.
