'The cup matoh between tho Napier and United Clubs, commenced ou Saturday, Jauuary UOth, was concluded on the Hecreutiou Ground on Saturday last. Wolstenholine, Fanniu, and Edwards were entrusted with the bowling for Napier. The match Gough Island v. Spit, played atFarndon on Saturday resulted in a win for the latter by six wickets. The match proved most enjoyable, and as a good wicket was provided, those who took part spent a very pleasant afternoon The Bands of Hope eleven met the United oeeond on the Recreation Ground on Saturday when the former won on the first inning by 18 runs. For ihe latter Parton got 5 wickets for 16 runs, and Dempsey 5 for 14. Nioholls for the United took 5 wickets for 22, Davis 1 8, and Blakeley 4 for 28 runs.
