At Flemington this morning Megaphone completely lost Aster in a four furlongs dash, which was traversed in Jack and Bel Giorno compassed a mile and a-half in 2mins. 53£secs , and King Olaf put in good strong work. Bungebah strode over a mile on " bruisr-d bark " in lmin. 50secs. Penance and Highborn were Bent a sound mile aad a-half.

Pigeontoe has advanced to 100 to 7 for the Melbourne Cup, and Highborn is being supported at 100 to 5. The following horses have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup :—Enuc, Havillah, Burlesque, Royal Mail, and E.K.
