His Honor took his seat at 10 a.m. :■; Mr Cotterill intimated that he wou d not call any more witnesses, and would close his case. He thereupon addressed the jury, his speech lasting some time. Mr.Morison followed on behalf of the P Coune'el addressed the jury, and His Honor summed up. ; ' The iury retired at twenty minutes to one, but returned at twenty minutes, past two o'clock, and asked His Honor what damaces would carry costs ? His Honor conferred with counsel on either side in his own room regarding the "shortly before three o'clock the iury sent down asking that some lunch be supplied them, and their request was complied with. It was then stated there was no chance of
