Smith had aaked the Minister for Education to aacertain the legality of the resolution of the Hawke's Bay Education Board in respect of the appointment of teachers. Is the prospect, of n seat in " the Lords " so certain that Mr Smith can afford to throw over hia Waipukurau supporters ?
