AUCKLAND HOSPITAL.
Auckland, This day. A deputation appointed by the public waited on the Hon. Mitchelson this morning
aud asked him to urge tho Government to appoint a commiseioner to investigate the charges mado against Dr Collins, of the Auckland Hospital, Mr Mitchelson promised to consult his colleagues and give a reply to-morrow. A special meeting of the Hospital Board will be held subsequently. It was decid"d, on the rastmg voto of the chairman, and on the recommendution of tha Board's solicitors, to abandon tho enquiry themselves, and to ask the Government to (.akp tbo matter up.
