CRICKET.
On the Recreation ground ou Saturday a cricket match was played between acornbined team aud an eleven from the Napier Cricket Club. The game resulted iv a victory for the combined team by two runs o„ the first innings. The latter'in this innings scored fifty ruus of which Hawkins made 20 and Fulton 10. Napier followed with 48, J. Martin 10 and Pram ami '-r. j White each 9. I" their second innings the combined eleven compiled 79 runs hulton • ■11 (not out). Buchanan 10, Gordon U, and Braithwaite and Jiawke 10 each. The bowling analysis was as follows : -First innings Combined Team: Edwards 4 wickets for 25 tuns ; Smith, o wickets for 2o runs.
