! The scholars attending the Port Napier District Sohool will assemble for the last time this year to-morrow afternoon at the sehoolhouso, when the annual distribution of prizes will take place. Court this morning, Eugene Sullivan, charged with having been found drunk, his third offence, was fined £1 and oosts, or 7 days' imprisonment. Thomas Heoney, for drunkenness at the railway station, was fiued 10s and costs or 48 hours, and a charge of behaving in an offensive way to the annoyance of others at the Btation was dismissed. A charge of a like naturo against Jaoies Murphy was dealt with in a similar lumuicr. C. Butler, for drunkenness,' was fined 5s and costs, and Mary Jones 10s and costs. Edward Cumin was charged With drunkenness, with resisting the constable in the execution of his duty, ttiul with making use of obscene language. For tho first otfonce he was fined 6s aud costs, and on the two' other charges ho whs sentenced to two months' imprisonment, sentences to run concurrently. The usual monthly meeting of the H.B. Land Board was held this morning, when there wero presont the Crowu Lands Commissioner (in the chair) and Messrs R. Harding aud W. Carlile. A number of proposals from Road Boards for expenditure, were approved. Some unimportant correspondence was disposed of. On the subject of revaluations it was resolved that tho Minister of Lands should be asked to give his decision iv the matter. A number of applications for transfers and laud wore granted. A schedulo of lands m the Han-:aroa and Opoiti districts was submitted for tne Board's approval, which was agreed to, to be proclaimed. The Board considered the result of the enquiry held by them into the circumstances of Mr J. Sowry'a application for section I, block XII., Woodville, and decided not to grant the license to Mr Sowry. Some routine business was transacted, and tho meeting [ adjourned.
