A woman named Lucy Webster laid an information against her husband for stabbing her in tho thigh with a penknife. Tho case was cnlled on this morning, when the prosecutrix declined to give evidence to criminate her husband, and denied any knowledge of tho affair. Inspector Pender said tbe police had been put to trouble and the country to expense over tho matter, and asked that tjfo woman be ordered to pay tho expenses. The Bench, could not so<> their way clcir to do so. Inspector Pender theft said ho woiftd ask the Government to sno for the amount.
