Tho s.s. Te Kapu leaves for Wairoa tonight. The s.s. Manapouri, Captain Logan, anohored in tho roadstead at 4.30 a m. on Sunday. She left Auckland at noon on Thursday, called at Gisborne Friday, and arrived here as above. The Ahuriri tendered hor at ti a.m., and took off the outward passengers at 10 a.m., the Manapouri steaming on to Wellington at 11 a.m. She arrived at the latter port at 1. 30 a.m. yesterday. She only goes as far as Dunedin this trip, returning hero on Saturday or Sunday next in place of the Monowai. The pilot and his men had a busy day on Saturday. Tho Southern Cross and Australia were brought in in tbo morning, tho Edwin Fox was moored, the Australia taken out at noon, tho ship Raugitikci brought to the anchorage, the Southern Cross taken out in the afternoon, tho Maori taken out, and finally the ship Piako taken out at mjrht. As usual, Captain Kraeft and his assistant, Mr Murray, performed their work without hitch or accident. The Union Co.'s s.s. Wairarapa from Melbourne tin southern ports, arrived at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday. The Ahuriri tendered her shortly after arrival and took off tho outward passengers at 4 p.m. The Wairarapa proceeded north at 10 p.m. She landed about 6.. tons of cargo, and took on bo»rd 73 tons of maizo and potatoes, besides 113 sheep. She was also well patronised by passengers. Mr Taylor has return»d to tho Wairarapa as purser. The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross steamed north at h p.m. on Saturday. She took from hero a quantity of produce and gome 130 sheep for the Auckland market. Tho ketch Comet, Captain Kruhl, sailed for S'unedin on Sunday morning with 28,000 feet of timber'and 33 bags grass-seed. The s.s. Australia, haying to he slipped at Wellington for cleaning, will not leave the latter port till noon on Thursday. She is duo here about noou an Friday, and is to proceed north same evening. The ship Euterpe, belonging to tho Shaw-Savill line, was coining up the bay at 4 p.m. to-day. . The schooner Spray, Captain Palhsou, sailed for Timaru this morning, taking ti 1)00 feet of timber and 000 posts. " The t-hip Piako, Captain Sutherland, sailed for London on Saturday evening. Tho barque vEthelb.rt commences lightering to-morrow. Th.» Hhaw, Savill, and Albiou Company s fl s Maori left for Wellington at G. 30 p.m. on Saturday. She loaded nere 6008 carcasses mutton and 350 bales wool. The Ahuriri left for tho coast at noon toTli.» .hip Baloluthti, chartered by the N Z "Shipping Company to load here for London, arrived at the ballast ground this morning. The Balclutha is a fine ship o 1614 tons. Like the Piako, she is expected to have quick despatch. The R M.S. Ruapehu left Cape Town for New Zealand via Hobart on Saturday The Te Auau arrived at Melbourno from tho Bluff yesterday.
