Jull moved us an amendment, " That, the Works Oommitteo's report bo forwarded to the Council with tho following addition :—■ The Board are very desirous of sustaining oordial relations with the Council, and if the Council in further consideration of tho matter think the work should be done, the Board will feel itself in honor bound to do it, though wo submit with all deference tha '?oard is in a butter position to judire of the merits of the proposed work than the Council.' " After a long discussion, during whioh all the members present, with the exception of Mr Bibby, expressed that the work was quite unnecessary, the chairman ruled the amendment out, of order. The resolution was then put, and declared lost. —Mr Jull, on behalf of Works Committee, reported having executed the work of repairing Mr Flynn's fence — Tho following pay-sheet was passed : -B. B Johnson £4 10s, Percy JBII 10s, Ayres £S 4s 6d. Mitchell 7s Cd. ebley £2, Corskie £2 9s 3d, Loughnan £3 10 2d. Tenders for carting metal—Seblev Is 2d and Is 4d, Mildon Is 3d and Is sdper-yard; the lowest tender was accepted —The chairman to see Mr Gilmonr with regard to levelßand push on tho work.
