The Baby-Ogden Company performed here on Saturday night. No doubt there are ni:my who object to children on tho stage, especially when they have to mimic older parts. In this case she takes v child's pirf ami doe* it very naturally imd preHily. Miss Helen Fergus and Mr Laurie deserve spociiil notice for their acting, especially in tho " Lady of Lyons" and the concluding tmmorouseki teh They repeat their performance to-niirbt.
It appears that the rumor of a political meeting on Saturday night had some foundation and would have been held but that there was no place to hold it in. It will como off this week, though. When tho ice is once broken, 1 suppose tho only talk will be about politics for tho next month.
