The executive of the Miners'- Association waited separately upon five deputies working at the Brunner mine with the view of persuading them to come out, but unsuccessfully. The deputies are hot 'members of the union. ■ •

The Dookors' Union deny The Times' . hint that they are on the verge of insolvency, and assert that they are stronger than ever, both as regards money and men. : They have voted £1000- to the Australian strikers, and they-will not believe that the striko in the colonies ■is collapsing unless officially warned to that effect. The Yorkshire Miners' Council have adopted resolution? in favor of legalising the eiifht hours' cystem. If the laborers at tbe Albert and Victoria dookn go out on strike The military will bo ordered out to protect tho free laborers. A large body of police were called out and eventually the wharves were cleared.
