Mr R. Wellwood reports a good attendance at his sale of wool, skins, &c, on Monday. Competition for all lots of wool and sheepskins was very brisk and late rates wero fully maintained, but hides, excopt very prime heavy sorts, are not iv demand and consequently neglected and difficult to quit. Wool.—Several bales wero sold at 7]d to 7.d, dead wool up to 7gd, crutchings •l.d to 3d. Sheepskins.—Crossbreds, 5d to Old; crossbred hoggets (small) -i.d, large OJd to o.'td ; torn and green orossbreds, 4.J-d to ;">Jd :" merinos half woolled Gsd, half breds Gjjd to 0;d. Hides.—Country lots (light weights) Id to 1 \d per lb, and several lots not reaching owners' reserve were passed in. Tallow. — Medium quality rendered Ud. My next, sale will be held on Monday, October 27th.
