September. 27—Result, s.s., for Mohaka. Ellison and Duncan, agents. 27—Lawrence, s.s., for Mokohinau. Master, agent. VESSELS IN PORT. IN THE BAY. Bayley, s.s. ' • Ganymede, barque. IN THE IKON TOT. Dunedin, schooner. The s.s. Lawrence left for Mokohinau this afternoon. She would have left last night, but owing to her winch breaking down, she had to be kept till to-day. The s.s. Kahu arrived from Wellington via the coast duriug the night. She leaves for Wellington about 4 p.m., and from there goes to Lyttelton, and then on to the Chathams. The s.s. Fanny returned from the ooast yesterday afhjrnoon. The Result left for Mohnka early this morning, and returned at 1 p.m. The s.s. Fanny was to run the first load of frozen meat off to the Bayley this afternoon.
The schooner Dunedin was hauled over to the breastwork this afternoon to load timber for Lyttelton. The Union Company have at present some 7000 tons of coal in Wellington. The N.Z. Shipping Company are bringing down two ship loads of coal from Japan. Matters in regard to the Manaia have now been fixed up, and she is to leave for Waitara shortly. The Te Anau will leave Wellington on Monday afternoon, and is due_ here on Tuesday forenoon. The Ahuriri takes off the outward passengers at 5 p.m. «& The b.s. Janot Nicoll has been oharteredby the Union Company. She is to take Wirths' Wild "West Show from Auckland to Gisborne on Wednesday next, leaving the latter port for Napier on Sunday. The Janet Nicoll will then load produce here for Sydney. The Southern Cross and Australia will leave Auckland and Wellington respectively as usual on Tuesday. ' The Wairarapa left Sydney on Thursday, and will arrive here on the 4th October. The s.s. Ahuriri returned from Blackhead and Waimarama this afternoon. She succeeded in landing all her cargo, except a couple of boat loads. Th-3 barque Hudson has arrived at London from Oamaru. Arrived at Auckland yesterday —Monowai from South, Agnes Donald, Saucy Kate, and Ocean from Napier. The Wainui left Auckland for Tonga and Samoa yesterday. The vessel signalled yesterday as being the Himalaya from London turned out to be the barquo Kenmore, Captain Milne, 111 days out from Liverpool.
