POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails Close. For Wellington, per Australia, on Friday, at 11 a.m. For Gisbome and Auckland, per To Anan, on Tuesday, 30th inst. The s.s. Kahu leaves Lyttelton for Chatham Islands on Wednesday, Ist October. The s. 8. Tongariro will leave Lyttolton for London on Thursday, 2nd October. Specially addressed correspondence for the United Kingdom, etc., marked "per Tongariro," will oloso 'on Monday, 29th inst, at G a.m. Parcels per parcels post will close on Saturday, _"th instant, at 5 p.m. This mail will ho duo in London on 12th November. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c., via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 4th October, at 6 a.m. Money orders will close at 4 p.m. and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 3rd October. This mail will bo due in London on 10th November. During the temporary suspension of train service on Tuesdays and Fridays, mails will be despatched from Napier (to close at 0 a.m.) for Clive, Hastings, Havelock North, Te Aute, Kaikora North, Waipawa, and Waipukurau. Return mails from these offices will reach Napier at about 9 p.m. same day. No parcels will bo carried by these mails. On tho same days a mail will reach Napier by the train leaving Hastings at 8.30 a.m., and a mail for Hastings will be despatched, closing at Headoffice. Napier, at 5 p.m. B. J.
