The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (limited), have received the following cable from their London office dated yesterday :—"Wooi.—The sales oponed with spirit this day at the level of last sales. The attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is good, and competition by them active. Tho total quantity available, including wool held over from last series, is 295,000 bales,°of which 30,000 bales have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct."
