ENTHUSIASM AT HOME. JOHN BURNS'S MOTION CARRIED. MORE MONEY FOR THE STRIKERS. [BPKCIA- TO PRESS ASSOCIATION—-COP-TUCH-T.J (Received September 3, 9 a.m.) London, August 2. John Burns, speaking to his motion expressing sympathy with the Australian strikers, said the Australian strike was the moro important to the Dockers' Unions as the right of combination was at stake. Mr Mann seconded tbe motion, which was carried with loud cheers. The Seamen's Union is remitting £1000 to Australia. The enthusiasm in respect of assistance to Australia is increasing. (Received September 3, noou.) The ship-owners adjourned their meeting till next Tuesday to give time for the arrival of delesrates from the other ports. The result of the meeting will probably be a general organisation for tho purpose of combining against the uuioua.
The .Stevedores' Union is sending between £1000 and £2000 to Australia. The dockers yesterday commenced levying a daily contribution of 3d per man.
Labor Day was celebrated ia America with enthusiasm by the J-erman employe's at Pittsburg.
