Wk understand that, at the solicitation of his friends, Mr Georee Hunter, of Porangahau, has consented to stand for the representation of Waipawa electoral district at tho next general elections. Mr Hunter is a New Zealander, he is the son of the lato Mr George Hunter, of Wellington, who represented that city for many years in Parliament. Mr Hunter is very popular throughout the country amongst all classes, and as he is free from the narrow-minded prejudices which so mar the public usefulness of less educated people, lie will, we hope, secure the support of a big majority of the electors.
