PICTURESQUE ATLAS CASES.
Invekcaboill, This day. Judgo Rawson to-day gave judgment in the Picturesque Atlas case, claim £7. His Worship non-suited the plaintiff on the ground that there had been no acceptance of delivery, and the time had not elapsed when tho payments were due for more than fourteen parts, for which defendant already paid. Hif> Worship said there had beonnot only an unequivocal refusal to accept, but also damage to tho books for which dofendant might be liable, and ho held that under the agreement paymont could not be exacted in a lump oum but at the rate of five shillings per month. He held that tho Printers and Newspapers Registration Act was not applicable to works published outsido the colony, and overruled the objection that the imprint was insufficient, on the ground that there had been substantial compliance with the Statute. Leave to appeal was granted. Tho Court was crowded, and the decision was applauded.
