Lnte Sydney exchanges state :—There is not much doing at present at the sunken steamer Centennial, in Taylor Bay. The work is to ssme extent impeded by the unsettled weather, and tho workmen have experienced difficulties which were to some extent impossible to forsee. The canvas bags to be used for raising the steamer are being' painted, with a view to prevent leakages of air when they are being inflated. A slight complication has presented itself in connection with the method by whioh it is proposed t» lift the steamer, in conseqnence of an alleged patent right. It is claimed that tho plan, namely, tue floating of the sunken vessel by means of bags inflated with air is an infringement af a registered patent, and there is some probability of the matter being tested in the Law Courts.
