The Kawatiri steamed for Auckland at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Sue toelt from hero 4,o'Jd sacks potatoes for transhipment to the Monowai and Colnc at Auckland.
M. ssrs Richardson aud Co.'s Fairy returned from Gisborne on Saturday • night. She leaves fer Mahia to-night. The Result arrived from Mohaka on Saturday evening. The Union Co.'s steamer Monowai, Capt Carey, arrived in tho roadstead at 1.30 p.m. yesterday. The inward passengers were landed by tho Ahuriri about 3 p.m., and the outward ones taken off at 4 p.m. The Monowai steamed north at 10 p.m. Although she was well filled with passengers from the south, only two or threo from Napier availed themselves of the cheap excursion.
The barque Lochnagar, Captain Sinclair, which arrived at Home ou Friday, took 121 days over the passage, having left hero on tho 2-th March.
Tha barque Waimoa left London for Nupier on the 25th June. The s.s. Australia steamed for Wellington at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday. We hear that Mr Aneeil, second oilieer of the Australia, has been promoted to first officer in tbe Dingadee; Mr Jamieson takes Mr Ancell's place on the Australia.
Tho barque Ganymede left London for Napier on May 17th. As she is only 5.9 tons, she will probably como up to the breastwork to discharge portion of her cargo, that is providing the Harbor Board do something towards improving the Inner Harbor. At present it is doubtful whether even the Rio, which is now due from Newcastle, can come inside with half her cargo discharged.
Tho schooner Lily was to have left Timaru for here on Saturday. The s.s. Duke of Sutherland left Wellington for London yesterday with a large cargo of frozen mutton.
Tho following sailing vessels from Napier aro now on their way to London :—Opawa (Hamon), Go days out; Lady Jocelyn (Watt), 21.
