TOWN EDITION.
The making of the new bowling green in Dalton-street has so far advanced that tho pavilion has been shifted from the Recreation Ground to its new quarters. Mombere desirous of getting their bowls for playing on tho old green on Saturday will therefore have to procure them from the pavilion. There was a meeting held last evening after tho parade of the Volunteers of those interested in augmenting the funds for the Balaclava survivors. The project haring been well discussed, it was decided to hold a promenade concert and danco, and a committee was appointed to attend to the necessary arrangements. The following is the hospital return for tho month of June: —In hospital at last date, 11 males and 7 females; admitted during month, 21 males and 11 females; discharged, 14 males and 9 females. There were no deaths during the month, consequently remaining at date there are 21 males and 0 females. Tho following will represent the Napier Second Fifteen in their match against the County on Saturday, to be played at Farudon Park :—Coglan, W. Qoodall, Hinton, J. Goodall, Miller, Welsman, Kieley, Rowley, Jarrnan, Cuto, Jago (2), Cunningham, Elliot, and C. Rudman; emergencies, Vf. Hud mini and Mountford.
Mr H. Naphtali, who has been appointed sole agent in Hawke's Bay for tho Dresden Pianoferto Company, notifies that he disposes of tho instruments of this Company's manufacture on a time payment system extending ever a period of throe years. During that time the instrunn-nt can bo exchanged at tho option of purchasers. That this system is popular, aud that the instruments give featiefaction, may bo taken for grauted when fifty of these pianos have been sold by Mr Naphtali iv two months.
