Five por cent, to bo deducted from all stakes. CONDITIONS. Hawke's Bay Jockey Club rules will bo strictly adhered to. Horses walking over to receive 50 ptr cent. The decision of tho Stewards to be final in all cases. No nomination or acceptance will be received unless accompanied by tho actual amount

in cash. Hr.ck (for open races) shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight-for-ago or handicap race, either on the flat, or over hurdles, other than hack races, and is not. nominated for a Derby, St. Leger, Guineas, or Sapling Stukes. District hack shall mean a horse that has been in tho district for 3 months previous to tho day of tho race, and is nominated by a bona fide resident of the district of 3 months' standing. District to consist of Ormondville and Norsewood road districts, ai.d Ormondville town district. Horses never to have started in a weight-for-ago or handicap race (hack race excepted). In all nominations for open races, nedigreo and performances must be given." All horses to bo ridden iv distinguishing colors, whioh must he given at the time of entry.
