The racing was very interesting, and the finishes were more close and exciting than on the previous day. Ruby won the Grand Stand Handicap, Blizzard and Golden Crest filling the places (dividend £17 2s Od) ; tho Maiduii Twoyear Old Handicap fell to Emmason, Lady Mab second. Corolla third (dividend £1 15s); Shifnel won the Scurry Stakes (dividend £1 •Is) ; and Mon Loup brought the meeting to a oioiO by winning the Consolation Handicap, Masthead second, Forester third i (dividend £i 35.) The sura of £11,572 was [ put through the muchino, making a total of £35,643 for the three days.

A son of the expatriated Sir Modred distinguished himself at tbe last meeting of tho Coney Island (America) Jockey Clubby winning the Great Eastern Handicap of SOOOdols.
