PERPETUAL MOTION. WE feel it our duty to return a word of praise to all who havo supported us during the Winter and Spring of 1889. We have had an eventful time. In view of the great and general commercial depression which ushered in the present year, our expectations were by no .means rosy; but ',little did we dream that we would accomplish anything liko what we have really done, and done well. Our trade and our Cash turnover has far and away exceeded what we had dared to expect. This is a most gratifying proof that the public at large fully appreciate our efforts to supply at all times, the very best value that can possibly bo given, and the quality of our goods invariably gives the highest satisfaction. It is now universally acknowledged that wo keep the largest variety and freshest stock of Boots, Shoes, and Slippers, English Foreign, and Colonial, to be met with in New Zealand, and we mean to uphold our reputation and still further develop our already colossal trade.
