Australia, Captain Gibb, arrived from "Wellington at four o'clock yesterday afternoon. Sho was breught inside later in the afternoon, and discharged her cargo at the breastwork this morning. Sho steams for Gisborno and Auckland at 6 p.m. * Tho s s. Kawatiri steamed for Giaborne at ten minutes pact fivo yesterday evening , . From Gisborne she proceeds to either Westport or Greymouth diroot. Sho reached Gisborne early this mornisg , . The local office of the Union Steam Ship Company aro advised that, the s.a. Southern Cross leaves Wellington on Tuesday next to take up tho E'ist Coast running of the wrecked Maitai. Tho Southern Cross _ has mndergone a complete overhaul at Wellington during the lust fortnight, and should prove a very suitable boat for the trade. The s.s. Manapouri left Auckland for here this afternoon. She is duo hore at daylight on Saturday, and leaves for Melbourne iirt southern ports at 2 p.m. The s.s. Hararoa is advertised ■.} leave Wellington at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and should, thorefore, arrivo here early on Sunday morning. The launch with tho outward passengbre wiil leave at ■! p.m. It is thoeght the barque Antofagasta mil be sufficiently lightered on Monday next to bring her to tho breastwork. Tho Kiwi is to leave Lyfctelton on Saturday next for Wellington and Napier. The s.s. Fairy -will steam for Gisborue this evening. The Wairoa is to steam for Wairoa at midnight to-night. The barquentinc Pendlo Hill, with a cargo of coals for her agents, Messrs Cranby andProbbli\ arrived from Nowcastlo this afternoon, an.: 'vas towed inside by tho Ahuriri. Captain Widerstrom reports havilig left Newcastle on loth June, experienced westerly wiauo across, and got off Capo Farowell when seven days out; from there had light north-west winds as far as the Narrows, off which a heavy southerly galo was experienced, which forced Captain Widerstrom to take shelter in Blind Bay for seven days. After leaving Blind Bay had calms and north-west winds to Cape I'aHiscr, then fresh westerly winds to Blackhead, and afterwards light baffling winds-to arrival. The steamer Elder.ilie arrived at Freemantle, Western Australia, from London, yesterday. Tho Weka steamed for Arapawanui this afternoon. ' Tho Union Co.'s Manaponri, which leaves hero on Saturday, only goes as far as Port Chalmers, where she lays up for an overhaul. Through passengers to Melbourne will be taken on by tho Te Anati, which leaves Dunedin on tho usual day (Thursday). Tho Result will probably steam for Waikaro and Mocangiangi to-night.
