A meeting of the above Board was held in the Mechanics' Institute last night, all tho members beir.g present. From Mr. T. Lawton, calling the attention of the Board to a defect in tho channelling opposite his property.—To bo attended to at once. From Mr. Gordon, covering hie resignation as Inspectior of Nuisances, and stating j that ho was compelled to resign owing to ill-health.— Resignation accepted. From Mr. Gilberd, stating that tho approaches to the bridge opposite hia property in Church rosd urc dangerous for wheel traffic, owing to the formation being too narrow.—Necessary work to be done. Acco««U amounting to £50 sa. Ud. were passed for payment, Tb.o Clerk laid an jiatymate of half tho co.it of channelling before the Board, showing that the amount duo by tho owners of property for construction of aatne opposite their property would be £2 2s. per chain, the same being approved of and adopted. It was decided to hold a meeting of the Board on loth met., to consider the question of water supply for flushing tho drains at points where at present there is no artesian ■water available.
