Ihe adjourned annual meeting of the Burns' Club was hold last night. There was still no balance-sheet, owing to the disagreement between the secretary and treasurer. The discussion showed that the members were at hopeless loggerheads. A. professional accountant is to be engaged and a financial statement will be submitted to the meeting next week. A large number have secaded from the Club and formed a Galvdonian Society, which gives its iaaugural concert on St. Andrew's Day Charles Edward Eenner, butcher, of Newton road, has been missing since Tuesday morning. His wife foare the worst, ac he has beer, suffering from depressed spirits Enquiries made by the police proved fruitless.
The weather is very cold and showery. The Domain Grammar School sports' take place to-day, the Amateur Athletic Club sports to-morrow. The Royal Horticultural bociety s spring show opens this afternoon.
Frederick Butler, a barman at Newton, died this morning iv an epileptic fit while me wife had gone for the dootor.
