Mr George Riley was re-elected Mayor unopposed. Mr J. T. Robinson, secretary of the Education Board aud general supervisor of examinations, has issued a writ for £1000 for libel against the Evening Mail, for the publication of reflections on tho Blenheim supervision of the scholarship examinations, uttered by Messrs Hursthouse and Harkness at tho Nelson Education Board. The promoters of Just-in-Time say thoy have struck the reef, and got good stone. The house of a digger (now at Mahakipawa), situate in the suburbs, was entered on Saturday evening in tho absence of tho wife, and small articles were abstracted.
