SATURDAY'S WEATHER AT THE GORGE.
~ c , , Woodvilus, This day. On baturday 4-15 inches of rain fell, and tho streams in the district were in high flood yesterday. The Manawatu river rose to a height of forty-three feet at the Gorge beyond, tho low lying knds beintr covered with water. Little damage is "reported One very heavy fall of earth took place on tho railway line through tho Gorge, as well as several small slips.
