THE WAIPAWA EXHIBITION grows in magnitude from day to day, aud space is being applied for.from various parts of the colouy. The promoters aro therefore justified in putting forth groater efforts thau they luyd I calculated upon in providing for a line display of New Zealand industries, and in seeking to prominently bring before tho public the real magnitude of their enterprise. Ai & rst it; WttS thought sufficient to tionfino exhibits to Hawko's Bay, but, as outside firms have decided to. furnish a show of goods, tho promoters have wisely decided to meet the demand for increased accommodation, and tho plans of the buildings have had to be considerably extended. For some reason or other, rumors of a hurtful nuturo have been set afloat, and unless thesio are properly met, tho project may suffer. Wo have, therefore, been asked to state that immediately upon publicity being given to tho rumors in question, the business people and old residents of Waipawa, Kaikora, and Waipukurau were- interviewed, and they desire it to bo widely kuo.wu that they have faith, i,n tb,s project, and in the men who" b.u,yo cjtuno forward to carry out all arrangements iv connection with tho exhibition. The following gentlemen have placed their names atthe disposal of the promoters, and state that they are of opinion that tho whole thing will be earned out in good faith, and on strictly business principles ; —Waipawa : Dr. Alex.
