WAIPAWA EXHIBITION. r-nilE WAIPAWA EXHIBITION S X grows in magnitude from day to i day, and space "is being applied 1 for from various parts of tlio _olouy. Tlie promoters are therefore justified in a putting torth greater efforts than they had t calculated upon in providing for a tine s display of Hew Zealand industries, and in l seeking to prominently bring before the public the real magnitude of their enter- ' prise. At first it was thought liiify'ejent to confine exhibit* to Hawke's Ray, but, ac outside firms have decided to furnish a. show of goods, the promoters haiv wis'-ly decided to meet the demand for increased accommodation, and the plans of the buildings have had to be oousi'lerably extended. For some reason or other, rumors of a hurtful nature have been set afloat, und unless these are properly met, the project may Buffer. We have, therefore, been aslted to shite that immediately upon publicity being given to the rumors in question, the business people and old residents of Waipawa, Kaikora, and Waipukurau were jntervk-wed, and they desire it to be widely known that they havo faith in tho project, and in the men who have come forward to carry out all arranguiiienu in connection with the exhibition. The following gentlemen have placed their names at the disposal of the promoters, and state that they are of opinion that the whole thin- will be carried out. in good fa'th, and on strictly business principles :—Wiiipawa.: Dr. Alex: Todd, Messrs. AY. Rathbone, E. Bibbv, S. McGreevy, Alex. Scrimgeour, J. | Britten, W. Mebougali, Jas. Bennett, i : Alex. Corskic, Thos. Cowpt-r, J. «■ Amiaiid, ; G. Abrahams, M. Flyi.n, Jull and Co., „. A. McVay. aud Alex. - Jones and Sons. And those gentlemen are further of opinion that the promoters have gone about their work iv a paiustaking and .8 cne.-gelie manner, and that they deserve the c success which will undoul.te'.llv crown their II efforts.
