The mm-Unionist men working in a small colliery at .Burwood, two miles from Newcastle, refused to ag'-oo to the ropiest of the Unionists to cease work, and dining the night an attempt was made to blow up tho entrance of tho mine with dynamite. Very little damage was, however, done.
