After some discussion it was resolved, on the motion of Messrs Harker and Bennett, that tho Works Committeo report as to what is required.—Tho Chairman was about to give notice of a now rate, when Mr Harkor asked if tho estimates had been prepared, and tho Clerk replied that he had forgotten thorn. Tim Chairman ruled that it was necessary to Jiave ihe-estimates of income and expenditure before striking a rate, and, on tho motion of Messrs Collett and Harker, it was resolved to hold a special meeting on Thursday next for the purpose.—Mr Harker moved that all rates in arrear be 'sued for forthwith, —Mr Harker moved that tho £300 borrowed for drainage be applied foi*. After some discussion tho motion lapsed for want of a seconder.—Mr j Harkef'desired that all the ruts bo filled np.
