Thu Times' Melbourne correspondent predicts a land boom in this colony. Ho sayfl : —<< A syndicate of foreign capitalists, at the head of which is the Mercantile Finance Company of Melbourne, intend investing to the extent of a million anda-half. Mr Fink, who is associated with Mr Bent in several largo spe ulatious, ia at the head of the concern, which recently absorbed the old established business of C. J. and T. Ham.
