The Field states that New Zealand mutton is superior to English mutton, and suggests that the imported carcasses ought to be branded to prevent any deception being practised. ' BIG MINE FAILURE. It is reported in this city that tho Great Em stern Mine at Gympio has suspended operation:, in consequence of tho capital being exhausted. This rumor has had the effect of seriously prejudicing the stock of other Anstralir.il mines.
