Passengers—Messrs Kelly, Smith, Downie, and five steerage. 21—Fairy, s.s., from Cape Kidnappers. 22—Kiwi, s.s., from Wellington. DEPARTURES. March. 21—Kahu, s.s., from Wellington via the coast. Passengers—Mrs Simmonds and 3 children. Alert, schooner, for Lyttelton. The Wairoa returned to port yesterday afternoon with a number of passengers. The s.s. Suva, Captain Spinks, arrived from Wellington at 5 p.m. yesterday, and was brought inside later on. She discharged a quantity of cargo this morning, including transhipments ex Coptic. She will leave th« wharf at 2 p.m., and remain in the roadStead until evening, outward passengers for northern ports being taken off by the Waihi at 4 p.m. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, arrived from Wellington early this morning with a load of transhipments ex Coptic. She will steam on her return journey this evening. The Union Company's s.s. Australia is due from northern ports early to-morrow morning, and is announced to steam for Wellington at 9 a.m. The s.s. returned yesterday afternoon from tho Kidnappers, where she had been picking up some of tho Go-Ahead's machinery. The Colonial Union Company's s.s. Bayley is due here from Bluff first thing to-morrow morning, and will at once proceed with her frozen meat loading. The schooner Alert sailed this morning for Lyttelton. The brigantine Enterprise having discharged her inward cargo, shifted to a berth at_ the breastwork, where she commenced this morning to load Cipe barley for Dunedin. The s.s. Ahuriri returned yesterday afternoon from Blackhead, Pourerere, and Waimarama, having Landed all her cargo. The s.s, Kahu steamed for Wellington via Cape Turnagain at 9 p.m. yesterday. The s.s.
