(Received March 4, 5 p.m.) Stdnkv, March 3. *■ A man named Carroll Winter brained his wife with an axe this afternoon in a fit of drunken rage. He then cut his own throat. Tho disturbance aroused tho neighbors, and they gave an alarm to tho police. Upon the latter breaking into the promises tho house was found to be saturated with blood The unfortunate woman was quite dead when discovered by the police, and the man has inflicted such injuries upon himself that ho is not expected to recover.
