; Tho : Victorian' branch' of , the .Imperial Federation • .League' will.:entertain Lord Brassey at a banquet in the Town Hall on 'the 25th instant, when His Excellency Sir Henry Loch, Sir James M'Bain, President •of the Legislative Council, Mr Peter Lalor, Speaker of the Assembly, Bishop Gbe, Archbishop Can , ;; and representatives ,of othor religious denominations will-be invited. It is expected that Lord Brassey will deliver a speech on the ■ occasion. ' The Chinese Commissioners leave Melbourne to-morrow for Ballarat, and thened proceed to Adelaide. ' !

Owing.to the vote of want of confidence hanging over! ,the; Ministry,- it is deemed likely in accordance with a wish expressed by MrlDeakin, who arrived at Albany, today, that the members of the Ministry will not proceed to Adelaide to welcome him, but it is probable that his colleagues will leave on Thursday next to meet Mr Dcakirt on the South Australian border.
