GAS STOVES. Reasons for Cooking by Gas instead of Coal Fires: 1. It is cleaner, there:is no lighting or making up of fires and subsequent removal of ashos and soot. ■. 2. It is more easily managed, a greater variety can be cooked at one /time, and with more precision, than by an ordinary range. 3. It is at your eerviee instantaneously day or night, the-mere turning on a tap and lighting tho gae being all that is required. 4. No food can bo tainted in a Gas Stove; it is loss wasteful,./through loss of, weight, tho juices and fat instead of being separated "as is the case in. the ordinary process, romain thoroughly incorporated with the meat, making it more digestiblo, a point of great importance in a nutritive sense, v. It is cheaper. The cost of cooking for an average family runges from 6s to 12s per month. In 1884 the Melbourne G*s Co., whoso gas was at 6s per 1000 feet (the present price in Napier), had over 10,00.0 stoves in use, a sure sign of its economy as compared with coal.
