CLYDE.
Sydney, This day. Mr Deeble has arranged for a series of contests botween the principle scullers of the world to take place on tho Parramatta river during January next. The first prizo will be £700, with others in proportion. The Government have announoed that, although they are unablo to bring the session to a close as early as anticipated, they will not vary their programme. Melbourne, This day.
Nothing further has beon heard regarding the alleged quarantining of the steamship Clyde at Albany. The statement is believed to be an orror on the part of the Telegraph Department.
