SECOND EDITION.
The following appointments have been made in connection with tho Napier Cadet Corps :—Color-Sergeant, Berry; Sergeants, Cowan, Dennan, Renouf, and Jarman; Corporals, D'Autherau, Hawkins, Scott, Schwabe, and Wilson.
Qur Waipawa correspondent wires as follows:—" The meeting of tho Waipawa School Committee last night was attended by all the members excepting Mr S. Johnson, from whom a letter was read apologising for his absence on account of the Supreme Court. The chief business was the consideration of the question whether to summons the parents of children not attending the' school the regulation number of times; also with regard to charging for stationery supplied to the children. It was decided to summons six of the worst offenders with regard to attendance, and to enforce the charge for stationery after the current quarter." .
