Australian Cricketers in England.

« The Yorkshire Match. Per Eeuter we learn that the Australian cricketers commenced a match against Yorkshire County on the 12th instant. The weather was splendid, the attendance enormous, and an excellent wicket was pitched. Tho following comprised the Home team:— Hon. M. B. Hawke, Bates, Emmetk, Hall, Hunter, Lee, Peate, Peel, TJlyett, Preston, and Wade. The Australians went first to the wickets, and made the good total of 275 runs, the following being the highest contributors :— Palmer, run out .. .. 94 Trumble, bowled .. .. 45 Spofforth, not out .. .. 37 Jones, bowled .. .. .. 26 At the close of the day's play Yorkshire had scored 42 runs without the loss of a wicket.
